Who should I contact if I need help with SkillSelect?

In the first instance you should check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the SkillSelect Technical Support page.  These FAQs have lots of information relating to commonly experienced technical issues with SkillSelect.  If your question is not answered by the FAQs please use the SkillSelect Technical Support contact form located at www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect.

If you require assistance with visa related information, please go to the FAQs section for the relevant subclass type (eg Points Tested visas, Employer Sponsored visas) first.  If you are unable to find the answer to your question, these FAQs also have a contact form that you can use to ask your question. 

Please note that call centre staff will not be able to assist with SkillSelect enquiries and can only provide information after a visa application has been lodged.

Update: This issue is now resolved

Issue:  A large number of queries regarding 500 server errors occuring while creating, editing, navigating and submitting EOIs have been received.  Technical teams are currently investigating these issues and an update will be posted when the issues have been resolved.

Due to system updates, SkillSelect will be unavailable from 6.00 am to 9.00 am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Sunday 8 June 2014.

Due to system updates, SkillSelect will be unavailable from 8.00 pm to 10.00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Thursday 3 July 2014.

 Please be aware that you will not be able to login into your EOI at this time.

500 Server Error when attempting to Submit an EOI

The system may be unavailable  from 9pm (9 October 2014  - 2 am (10 October 2014).

System Issue with Lodging a Visa Application

Currently the elodgement system is preventing the lodgement of visa applications on the last day of an invitation’s validity.  Technical teams are working to resolve this issue, notification of a resolution will be posted on this website.

 

It is recommended that you lodge your visa application early in the 60 day validity period.

Planned system maintenance

There will be a planned system outage on Saturday 8 November 2014, from 2pm AEDT until Sunday 9 November 2014 3am AEDT (UTC +10).

The following system will become unavailable during the above times:

  • SkillSelect clients will not be able to commence a visa application during the planned outage.

Should you receive a ‘Server 500′ error message during this time, you are encouraged to try again after 1am AEDT (UTC +10), Sunday 9 November 2014.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

SkillSelect System Unavailable Due To Planned system maintenance

 There will be a planned system outage on Saturday 22 November 2014, from 4pm AEDT until Sunday 23 November 2014 8am AEDT (UTC +10).

The SkillSelect system will become unavailable during the above times and

  • SkillSelect clients will not be able to login to create/update or submit their  Expression of Interest; and
  • SkillSelect clients will not be able to commence a visa application during the planned outage.

Should you receive a ‘Server 500′ error message during this time, you are encouraged to try again after 8am AEDT (UTC +10), Sunday 23 November 2014.

December 2014 Invitation Rounds

The invitation rounds for December 2014 will be:

5 December 2014 and 19 December 2014.

There will be 1400 Skilled Independent (subclass 189) and 100 Skilled Regional (subclass 489) invited each round

SkillSelect has received a number of emails regarding 500 Server Errors, this issue is under investigation.  A notice will be posted when a resolution has been found.

ImmiAccount system maintenance

Status in SkillSelect after lodging a visa application

We are aware of this issue of statuses in SkillSelect  remaining as “Invited” after a visa application has been lodged and the Department of Immigration and Border Protection is currently investigating.  Your status in SkillSelect will be updated in due course and will not affect the outcome of your visa application.
